Bracken, Vee-Jay Records se consolid\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente como uno de los sellos independientes m\u00e1s influyentes de Estados Unidos. Destac\u00f3 por sus grabaciones de R&amp;B y blues urbano, y posteriormente ampli\u00f3 su cat\u00e1logo al jazz, folk y gospel.
