\n The first way of contributing to La Ricotta<\/em> is participating to the thousands of daily activities, according to one’s own possibilities. Such activities may involve both more physical tasks for recovering and preserving the land, the surroundings, the infrastructures and their development, and educational ones. The visits are organised according to the description in the Hospitality<\/a> section. We kindly ask you to read that section before contacting with us: we will be however delighted to provide you with clarifications and\/or further information.\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n Another way of contributing is joining as an associate in the Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural La Ricotta<\/em>. This implies a stronger and time-consuming committment. The mechanism of association are ruled according to the By-laws, while the internal dynamics of the Asociaci\u00f3n Cultural La Ricotta<\/em> are based on the Interla Rules of Procedure.\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n At La Ricotta<\/em> we try to reuse materials and objects that are usually thrown away. Currently, we find especially useful: transparent plastic bottles and jugs with a capacity greater than or equal to 2 liters; 0.33 liter glass bottles; glass bottles of 0.75, 1, 1.5 liters; plastic yogurt containers with a capacity greater than or equal to 125 grams; containers of all kinds for food use; fruit boxes. You can inquire with us both for the donation and in case you have unused materials and objects that do not enter the previous list.\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n Unfortunately, initiative, co-operation, appropriate technologies, recycling and reuse, and… a lot of good will, are not always enough to face all the daily challenges without the availability of money, however small. Therefore, another way of collaborating is through an econonical contribution, however small. Those interested in this form of collaboration can contact us both for clarification and so that we can provide the necessary information. On our side, we will be interested in knowing more about the source of the donation.\n<\/div>\n\n\n

FINAnCING A SPECIFIC PROJect<\/span><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

\n In some cases, we may need collaboration to carry out a specific project, be it an educational event (e.g., a summer school) or work of various kinds (repairing a water collection tank, building a constructed wetland for processing greywater, building natural ponds, etc.). We will publish here the list of projects as they arise and depending on the priority we assign them, with their estimated costs (as soon as they are available) and possible variations of the latter (in correspondence with possible price changes) – if necessary, the list will be accompanied, in specific links, by a technical sheet for each work to be carried out. Those interested may contact us, we will be glad to provide all necessary clarifications.\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n One of the permanent projects in La Ricotta<\/em> is the recovery of abandoned lands. Part of such land will be cultivated as a support to La Ricotta’s life and its activities, while another part will be have environmental and educational purposes, recovering woodland, creating a botanical garden, while a small part will be devoted to educational vegetable gardens. Those interested can contribute to the development of this part of the project by donating plants and seeds. In the link at the end of this text, you can find the list of plants and seeds we need: the basic criterion we used to select plants, varities and cultivars, is their adaptability to the micro-climate of the area, or the possibility that they can adapt.\n<\/div>\n
\n We kindly ask you to get in touch with us before shipping the plants: this project on the one hand has intrinsic time lags, and on the other it depends on our own ability to carry out the necessary work. For this reason, it is important to agree on the shipment of plants and seeds – it is important to take into account that young plants need special care, and the seed germination probability may decrease over time if they are not stored properly.\n<\/div>\n\n\n

\n In La Ricotta<\/em> we created a library that can support all the activities we organise and that could become a reference for everyone living in the area. The books currently present have been made available by the members of the project. However, we would still like to make it richer. For this reason, we accept books.\n<\/div>\n
\n We give preference used (but in good condition) books, in order to give them a new life. As far as new books are concerned, they are accepted mainly in relation to recent publications, for which is unlikely that their used counterpart exists. At the end of this text, you can find a list of books we consider as necessary. We will try our best to keep this list up to date. The books can be in any of the languages we have an at least minimum knowledge of: Galician, Castilian, Valencian, Portuguese, English, Italian and any dialect or (referred to as) minor language in Italy – this list can be enlarged once new persons are integrated over time. We try to give preference to: books in original language (if the language is in the previous list); if available, the double-language editions (i.e. in original language and one between Galician and Castilian); for this very same class of books, we acept an edition in Galician or in Castilian only if no double-language edition exists. The books can cover a diverse range of topics. Currently,\u00a0 the library contains books related to literViature, science, history, economics, anthropology, education…, all of them at both popular and technical level.\n<\/div>\n
\n Before sending us a book, we kindly ask you to conact us. Finally, we would like to encourage you to propose us books you think may be of interest for us and are not in the list we provided.\n<\/div>\n\n\n
