Per aix\u00f2 s&#8217;haur\u00e0 de casar amb ell despr\u00e9s d&#8217;una desastrosa operaci\u00f3 de canvi de sexe. A partir d&#8217;aleshores es dir\u00e0 Hedwig i la seva vida a l&#8217;estranger anir\u00e0 sent cada vegada m\u00e9s complicada.
